WHO WE ARE
HYDRO Surf School is located on the Esplanade at St Clair Beach in Dunedin, New Zealand. We run our school from The Esplanade at St Clair Beach. We have a strong surfing culture in Dunedin and are spoilt for choice along our beautiful coastlines for surf breaks ranging from smaller fun beach breaks to more advanced waves.
Advanced surfers wanting some local knowledge can benefit from our experienced guides who will take you to some of the best surf spots around. We can put together package deals for travelers, including accommodation.

We love sharing our passion for surfing and igniting the passion in you. We offer a broad range of lessons and programs that cater for all ages, beginners that have never surfed, intermediate surfers wanting to take their surfing to the next level and competitive surfers.

If you’re not jumping in a lesson and just want to hire gear, all good! We have a wide variety of surfboards available including High Performance boards, Soft boards, Fun boards and Long boards also boogie boards and flippers and a wide range of wetsuits to fit all sizes.

MEET THE CREW
All our crew are qualified ISA Surf Coaches and have current First aid certificates. They have vast knowledge of all our local areas and will only conduct surf lessons in safe conditions. Our coaches are dedicated in creating a safe, fun and knowledgeable environment to grow your confidence with surfing and in the water. They thrive on seeing you achieve your best and that huge smile when you stand up on your surfboard for the very first time. Their enthusiasm and love of surfing is contagious, you will hear many "Yahoo's" coming your way!
